Driventic positions itself as an independent company for drivetrain solutions in the commercial vehicle market

HEIDENHEIM, GERMANY. Since November 1, 2025, Driventic operates as an independent company in the commercial vehicle market. The company emerged from the Commercial Vehicles division of Voith Turbo and specializes in drivetrain solutions for buses and heavy-duty vehicles. Driventic employs around 1,400 people at 26 locations in 18 countries worldwide.

“Becoming independent marks the beginning of a new and exciting chapter for Driventic,” explains Dr. Gregor Wiche, CEO of Driventic. “We are combining the experience and market position we have built up over decades with the agility of a specialized company. This will enable us to respond even faster and more specifically to the requirements and needs of our customers.”

Proven strategy for sustainable growth

Driventic is pursuing a clear growth strategy. In the field of e-mobility, Driventic intends to expand its portfolio for buses and heavy-duty vehicles with a focus on powerful, efficient, and sustainable systems. At the same time, Driventic is concentrating on maintaining and expanding its strong market position in the field of conventional drivetrain solutions, such as proven transmissions, retarders, and components that are used by leading OEMs worldwide. Driventic is also continuing to expand its service business and is specifically driving growth in the APAC and Americas markets.

“Our customers expect an experienced partner who can support the transition to e-mobility while also ensuring the reliability of conventional technologies,” emphasizes Dr. Gregor Wiche. “With Driventic, we offer both – technological leadership with a global presence and a clear commitment to quality and innovation.”
